Tennis Competitions at Howlong
Monday Night Mixed Competition
Our Monday night social comp is perfect for everyone, from beginners picking up a racquet for the first time to seasoned players. Open to both adults and juniors, it’s a great way to stay active in a friendly environment.
- Time: Arrive by 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start (approx. 8:30pm finish).
- Cost: $6 per week plus membership.
- Format: You’ll be placed in a team of four and assigned a level based on your skill level. You will play three sets of mixed doubles, rotating so you play one set with each of your teammates each week.
- Seasons:
- Spring Comp: February to May (approx. 11 weeks).
- Autumn Comp: September to December (approx. 12 weeks).
Thursday Night Mixed Competition
Designed for medium to high-skill levels, this competition offers a faster pace for both adults and juniors looking for a challenge.
- Time: Arrive by 6:15 pm for a 6:30 pm start (approx. 8:30 pm finish).
- Cost: $6 per week plus membership.
- Format: You’ll be placed in a team of four and assigned a level based on your skill level. You will play three sets of mixed doubles, rotating so you play one set with each of your teammates each week.

Saturday Pennant
Represent Howlong in the Hume Country Tennis Association League! This competition runs from October to February (with a break over Christmas) and caters to all ages and abilities.
- Time: Matches begin at 1:30pm each Saturday.
- Cost: $5 per week plus membership.
- Format: Mixed teams compete at various venues across the association. You will play three sets of doubles and one set of mixed doubles each week.
